The religious extremists of the country of Malacia have been creating havoc all over the continent of Landoris.  Their neighbor to the north, the kingdom of Ivory, led by a Queen Regnant named Kerrinne MacMillan, struggles the most with them as her people must pass through Malacia to do business or to travel by land.  With this latest uprising, they have her small but prospering northern country of Ivory confined to the sea. Her army is not enough to take on these extremists who have nothing to lose and will fight to the death for the honor of their god, Malac.  To further complicate things, they have started to ransack towns and villages just beyond the border of Malacia into Ivory.

If she has any hope at all of saving the beautiful and loyal country she has built, she must stretch out and find resources in expected and unexpected places. Unfortunately, not everyone that she needs as an ally wishes to support a queen regnant believing that women are certainly not meant to rule, and she worries more countries will come to the aid of Malacia just to bring down a woman in power regardless of the cost.

Using all of her connections and her own strong intelligence, she must figure out a way to bring light to a part of the world that has none and seek out the root of malice to keep its tendrils from surfacing.  Underground is a dangerous place to be for anyone, but especially for a queen regnant.
